I went home Tuesday to vote. I was home for a little over 12 hours. My parents weren't even home. Mom was playing Bunko. She has managed to collect all my dad's friend's wives to play with her. So my Dad realized that all his friends were sitting at home all wifeless. They started playing poker at the same time. Isn't that cute?
While I was sitting at home by myself, my grandmother called. (the crazy one with all the cats) She told me about a rat that she had in her garage. (you would think that one of those cats would eat it, wouldn't you?) She told me that this rat was huge. Like squrriel size. DANG-IT.
So then Gilmore Girls comes on. I'm sitting in the den. A mouse ran across the floor.(this was a normal size mouse, not one that was born beside a chemical plant) I have never seen a mouse in any other room in our house except for the den. I hate mice. but not as much as snakes.
On the way back to Florence, I put in N'SYNC Christmas. Justin, JC, Chris, Joey, Lance, and I had a merry time all the way to class.
I got a 100 on a test today. I made a 100 in college! I'm so excited!
Coming home again this weekend. Brett and I both have observations to do for our education classes so we are going to the school that Matthew teaches at in Athens tomorrow.

Brett needed a hair cut, right? So this guy that we call Taco brought his razor to the BCM because it's a good one. He started cutting and Brett says "Why don't you just give me a mohawk?" Super idea... (I wasn't there, mind you.) Not that I care. He can do what he wants. So he kept the mohawk for almost a day and then asked me to cut the rest of it. Keep in mind that I have NEVER cut hair before, aside from my own and that is with scissors, not a man hair trimmer razor thing. So I'm cutting. Hair is going everywhere. It's good, everything is even. Then I took to guard off of it to get the back of his neck and beside his ears. Everything was cut and good to go except for a peice right beside his left ear.... and either I slipped or he jumped because there is definatly a small hole where hair is supposed to be.
First football game tomorrow. I may or may not have to work. Hopefully I can get someone to pick up for me because I really want to go.
I have skipped two classes this week. I'm on a roll.
Caroline, I'm gunna need you to get a new cellular.

I went through rush. Yes, I am now a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. I know, I know.
Let me add that I am the exact same person that I was a week ago, only now every time someone tries to describe me, they'll add "She's an Alpha Gam."
I feel like I have to explain myself. Probably, because I know that there are alot of people that don't understand. I know this because I used to be one of them. The only thing that I have to say for myself is that I wanted to do it. Plan and simple. I want to be in Step Show and Step Sing. I want to make a super awesome homecoming float and ride in the parade. I want to go to winter and spring formals and have people to sit with at the football games. I'm not any less of a woman, or any more of a snob. I'm the same as I've always been. please try to understand.
School... sucks. I hate my schedule. I have a two hour break every day. And I'm not too excited about my classes either. I have to do 20 hours of observation for my education class. The only day that I have available to do that is Friday. I should really get started on that because there are only so many Fridays in the semester.
So, Steve Irwin died. I'm sad. Admitted, I did laugh at the fact at first, but then it became real to me that he was actually a real person with a real wife and real children. Small children who will grow up without a dad. Then I felt about an inch tall.

Those apartments worked out. Anna and I signed the lease on Saturday. I'm a big girl now.
The down side is that I have to move again. Jeremy is coming from Decatur with his truck tomorrow to help carry the big stuff and Kristen said that she would help too. That makes four of us since Anna is gone.
I made a whopping $17 tonight. Can I please have a new job?

I made a tiki bar for the Luau to open welcome week for the BCM. I'm mad at the roof cause it won't stay up. any suggestions?

It's raining. And by raining I mean that the Tennessee River is pouring out of the sky.
After a long debate and listing of the pros and cons, Anna and I decided that we're moving. We can't handle the heat any more and the cold in the winter is going to be even worse. There are roaches EVERY WHERE all the time. We have set bombs off, put borax out, and sprayed. Nothing is working. I feel like a failure. I kept telling myself that living there was going to make me stronger and build character. I just can't handle it anymore. I'm weak.
BUT there is awesome news. We called the apartments across the street. They have openings. AND they have two bedrooms, two bathrooms! and a dishwasher! and a garbage disposal! and washer/dryer hook ups! How exciting! But we haven't looked at it yet, so it might be a complete dump. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
I hate my job. But I hate change more. What's a girl to do?
I'm exciting about school starting. Welcome week is gunna be fun. The BCM has something planned everyday for almost two weeks. All fun things.

I'm tired of school. I'm seriously thinking of not taking a July class.
Also, I am going to start volunteering at the YMCA. I would really love to work there, but I would make way more money at Chili's. So I'll be working there for about 10 hours a week. I'm excited.
Brett just farted in the Library. Should I be embarrassed?
Who wants to go white water rafting? I'm thinking of planning a trip.

I've been meaning to get new slip resistant shoes for about two months. After yesterday, I don't think I'll be waiting any longer. I had just grabbed the sweet tea pitcher to refill some glasses, when I lost my balance and slipped on the wet floor. The tea went into the air and splashed on the man sitting at table 41 and I fell to the floor. The tea pitcher cracked down the side. I was so embarrassed. I couldn't stop laughing. I laughed so hard, I was crying and people thought I was hurt. So I went back into the kitchen to gain my composure then I went back out into the resturant to apologize to that man.
I have always hated sweet tea. Now I was two reasons.

Anna and I found an apartment. It's a duplex actually. and Huge. and it needed ALOT of work. So, after painting and scrubbing it down for almost three weeks, I am going to start moving in today. Just the stuff in my dorm. Mom and Dad are coming on monday to bring the furniture. I am finally going to have a big girl bed!
I've been working almost everyday. I haven't done that since I started working there. It's sucks. But I need so much money!
OK I have to get my laundry. PEACE!

The UNA housing department called yesterday to inform me that they didn't have any more university apartments avaliable for fall semester. Therefore, this is were Anna and I will be living come July 31st.

but I'm not. I studied for like three hours. And we all know how long my attention span is...
There is a movie on ABCFamily right now. There is a girl on here that only dates guys named Ryan.
I really want to take a bubble bath. One with candles. There are about two problems with that. I would have to clean that bath tub because it's dirty AND we can't have candles in the dorm room. The last thing that I want to do is set off the fire alarm. I guess I could blame it on the Japanease girls. Everyone would assume it was them anyway.
We had tornado warnings in Florence last night. I was at work. I spent about an hour sitting on the floor in the bathroom. At one point, we were all sitting in the lounge and my manager looked out the front door, screamed as loud as she could and ran towards the bathroom. We all followed her without asking any questions. Turns out it was just a spinning cloud over the mall. Whatever that means. I never saw it. She's an idiot. The night wasn't a total waste. I did get free steak at the end of the night. I also only made $10.
What is it about dill pickle chips? hmmm....

Brett and I were having lunch at Subway on campus and before we ate I went to pee. My phone was in my back pocket and I felt it fall out as I stood up. I reached for it but it was much too late. The automatic flush had already been set off. I watched $86 and every phone number I have go right down the drain.
So after dealing with Cingular for THREE hours I finally got a new phone. It's exactly the same.
p.s. If you want to be my friend you'll have to send me your number.

My birthday came and went. I'm 20 now.
I wasn't planning on skipping class yesterday, but at the last minute I decided to. My english teacher is on facebook and he sent me a message. "Happy Birthday, Starting the party already, I see" or something along those lines. He's my favorite.
School is stressing me out right now. I FINALLY bought all my books. They ended up being around $400. kiss it, bookstore.
DNOW is this weekend. I'm looking forward to it, but I really don't have time to give up a WHOLE weekend. I've got a test on monday and I JUST bought the book for it today...
Also, Labs can die a horrible death. They were SO much easier at Calhoun. One more semester and I'll be down with basics. Maybe I will like school more when I am taking classes that have to do with education.
Speaking of Lab, I've got to go finish one... rocks and minerals can die right about now.
